2016 RB Toks Akinribade and his Brownsburg football team attended Indiana’s 3 day team camp this week. Toks has been high on Indiana’s board since his breakout season as freshman leading the Brownsburg team to a conference title. The 3 day camp was enough for Indiana’s Running Back Coach Deland McCullough and staff to pull the trigger by offering Akinribade.
The 2016 RB looks the part and his muscular frame plus speed is why Indiana will not be his last offer. Akinribade was explosive during drills, and excited the staff with some of his runs during scrimmage sessions of the camp.
When we talked with Toks he also shared his excitement about the offer and why he feels comfortable at Indiana. “I feel great about the offer. The staff and players make me feel like I’m apart of their family already.” said Akinribade. The fact that IU can score in a hurry is also a plus. He added “Their offense is kinda similar to ours now. So it’ll make it easier for me to understand”
Ball State Illinois and Ohio State are also showing major interest in the 2016 RB Prospect.
