Evansville Showcase: Recap

Evansville –

Close to 150 high school football players attended the College Showcase on Sunday, hosted by Elliott Quarterback Academy, powered by Indiana Preps. The event was a success in terms of athetes receiving quality instruction and impressing the list of college coaches in attendance.

Top Performers
OL Cole Woods, Castle #4 (2019) – Good hands & technique/posture. Didn’t lose a single rep in 1on1s from what we witnessed.

OL Mark Doyle, Heritage Hills (IN) #55 (2020)6’2 283 – Good initial punch, hardly lost a rep in 1on1s.

QB Heath Simmons, Ohio County (KY) #5 (2018) 6’4 200 – Strong arm, hit target in tight windows. Nice frame

QB Michael Lindauer, Evansville Memorial (IN) #73 (2019) 6’3 185 – Pretty accurate on the day.

QB Brennon Harper, Evansville Central (IN) #58 (2019) 6’4 198 – Did not dissapoint. Had a strong showing and threw the ball very well.

DL Hunter Reason, Evansville Central (IN) #124 (2018) 6′ 200 – Undersized, but used his quickness to defeat blocks all day.

LB Kiave Guerrier, Evansville Central (IN) #61 (2018) 6′ 185 – Easily the top linebacker at the event. Was able to cover running backs and displayed solid fundamentals in the positional drills.

DB Jazz Terrell, Noblesville (IN) #2 (2018) 5’7.5 171 – Arguably the top defensive back at the event. Able to redirect route runners with his press. Enough speed to make a play on deep balls.

RB Isaiah Easley, Henderson Co (KY) #64 (2020) 5’10 177 – doubled as a running back and defensive back. Solid day at both.

DB Dylan Whitt, Silver Creek (IN) #9 (2019) 5’11 155 – fastest player in the building. Put up a 4.4 time with hardly enough room. Named to best of best in defensive back group.

WR Isaac Anglin, Henderson Co (KY) #103 (2018) 6’4 188 – Arguably the top offensive player in the building. Fluid route runner with good speed.

WR Dada Simpson, Henderson Co (KY) #104 (2018) 6’1 204 – The overall MVP of the camp. He was able to track down running backs and cover receivers. Physically gifted and should pick up some steam heading into February signing.
